Rates for electricity furnished by the City of Galva, Kansas to persons or businesses are hereby affixed according to the following classification:

(a)   Electric rates:

(1)   0 to 100 Kilowatts                                   $11.00 Minimum

(2)   101 to 3,500                                            $00.110 per kilowatt

(3)   3,501 and up                                           $00.105 per kilowatt

Under no circumstances will the city pay any direct generation customer for energy in the event the direct generation customer generates power in excess of use.  Minimum charges will apply to any customer connected to the City electrical system.

15-302.       Extraordinary wholesale utility charges.

In the event that extraordinary wholesale utility charges have been or are received by the City in excess of reasonably expected charges, the governing body may, by motion, elect to add a flat surcharge to all customers for a period of time up to twelve (12) months in order to offset such extraordinary wholesale utility charges.
